* Player's names listed from each server may be altered for the official PWC 2012 event.
** Global's winners are posted here, but each players will be contacted starting from the top ranking if they can attend the PWC event or not. Once they officially announce who can go, I will update Global's information.
*** 1/4/12: Added Global players on table that has been announced to go to PWC 2012.

Thailand Competition

These top players will be playing on their home turf to represent their server. This year, they organized their annual PGTXII Club Arena to determine the winners of this event and their top 3 chosen players for PWC 2012. They organized their tournament by playing Wiz City twice utilizing Front and Shuffle lasting 35 minutes each. Both scores and pangs will be tallied up from both rounds to decide their top 3 to go to the PWC 2012. Item restrictions were also taken in effect as well.

The 2nd and 3rd place of their event receives the Golden Dual Feathers Club Set with 3,000 (3rd) or 5,000 (2nd) baht prize money. 1st place gets the new AK Amber Club Set (10/14 5/13 5/10 2/6 2/4) and 10,000 baht prize money.

Japan Competition

Japan will be holding their 6th Pangya Japan Cup event that will also determine their top 3 to represent their server. They have carried out two tournament rounds of Wiz City and Blue Lagoon with Front/40 minutes. Item restrictions were also taken in effect such as one example where only 1 silent wind and safety can be equipped.

Igarisan (right) will be back again that took the spotlight on last year's PWC 2011 by achieving 1st place on singles tournament. Together with -yusk- (middle) and Estee (left) will represent their strong team that won first place on Team Tournament last year. All eyes will be glued towards this team.

Korea Competition

Korea decided to bump up the difficulty to get the best top 3 by playing Sepia Wind and Wiz Wiz courses in addition to item restriction rules also applies. Last year, Korea came in second place for the Team Tournament match against Japan so we'll see how much this server has improved to overcome that team.

]F.P[성이 winning 1st place on the 2nd PKC tournament. 3,000,000 won is about close to $2600.

From left to right it's ]F.P[성이, `Yo~!So~?, and ]F.P[낭만. `Yo~!So~? is the same YoSso from last year's PWC. If you look closely at his final score from the result table, he should be in 1st place. They have their reasons I guess.

My Thoughts

You may disagree with me here, but I don't believe multiple Wiz City tournaments that Global organized deserves to decide their best players. Even though the course is still fairly new, it doesn't take long to find a gimmick to get the best possible score. It's an exploitable course where score becomes too easy knowingly how to take advantage from those booster gates. When I say booster gates, I'm talking about a possibility of getting a hole-in-one instead of a green-in-one. There were no item restrictions (especially multiple safety & silent winds) and it took place online where players can easily use their notes for booster gate hole-in-ones. Thailand and Japan on the other hand had item restrictions for their Wiz City round so they couldn't abuse it much.

I'm hoping the streaming quality for PWC2012 will be decent compared to last year in Japan. I did organize a live stream of PWC2011 displaying on my Justin.TV channel so English speaking people can chat there instead of Ustream. I may host it again for this event along with some improvements such as inviting players to commentate with me. Stay tuned for more details about this later if you are interested to participate with me.

TH surely loves making new AKs for every occasion.. I like that..

Have you got a image of this AK Amber Club Set?

"You may disagree with me here, but I don't believe multiple Wiz City tournaments that Global organized deserves to decide their best players." Who can disagree.. I would like to add that the SSC was a joke. Nice post Rich.

I lol'd at global so far getting 8 (!) votes.

Global finished asking top 5 a few days ago, so we'll hopefully know soon... unless literally nobody's willing/capable (guilty of this myself... so can't talk... lol).

I've been seeing this unreleased outfit for Lolo for quite awhile on their banner ads. They should release this since I have her as my caddy.

From the Poster that's illustration by nyanya. That's Hana dress is look like a main character from "Black Rock Shooter"
Note: I think she's carrying champion clubset from PWC2011 (I don't know that clubset name) because igarisan has use this character.

Was just wondering.. What the hell is this ring?

The second place got it.. But, i've never seen it before.. Is it the Midnight Ring with another icon?

Nevermind, i found it :p

It's called "Prince Ring" (プリンスリング) and it has the same ability of the Promise Ring.. EXP +120% ;)

Rich will you record the pwc like you did last year?

As mentioned in the post, I may do it again for 2012 and I'll make a new post to further discuss about that. I may want to add a new element to it so I'm thinking of ideas at the moment.

Thanks. I almost took a sip. :)

lol starts at 12:30 AM - no thank you. I'd rather sleep. Not like I can't see the winner a mile away (*coughIgarisancough*)

Just want to add, since I accidentally end up to the PWC site, that the competitors for Global were already listed there. Global didn't make any announcements about it yet.

It's about time!

The table list has been updated from all the information I can find so far.

Oh great, I assume these scores came from the "Tournament Operations" thread where only participants can view? Thanks for the info, I'll be adding that to make it complete.
