So after playing 1,000 holes to light up your Christmas tree, now you'll have to grind for socks that may randomly come out from the holes.
The prize list is kind of similar to Japan's opened cube list except a different cost of 700 opened cubes for each snowflake outfits and 900 for the gold spike hammer clubs. Just like other Pangya servers, there's a time limit on when it'll last on Cadie's Cauldron. Snowflake outfits will last until May 9th and gold hammer clubs on June 18th. Funny thing is that June 18th is on a Monday.
These outfits has been released for quite some time on other servers. So finally Global gets their turn.
Other servers has received these clubs this year. If somehow you have any leftover money to buy recolored versions of these duo sword clubs, go for it.
This is what to expect near the end of every year. I don't think other Pangya servers are doing a quit rate event.
New Gacha rare has been released. Japan's normal elf ears had a side effect where if you perform a powershot, you will lose the impact zone effect for that shot. High Elf Ears will not have that limitation. Having an additional caddie card slot is new to their server. The star headset effect is similar to the feathers and it did not contain a caddie card slot like the other servers did. Check the Korean post below for details on the effects.
With the Club Tournament Match activities going on, part of the Christmas party 2 event will get a chance to win an exclusive snowflake headphones that contains +1 all stats. I could explain more in depth of this event, but I'll stop there.
High Elf Ears has been released for their 65th set. There are two types of ears from this set, High Elf and Wood Elf ears. Winning a set will get you 1+1 deal where you receive both ears for the same character for a total of 10 rares on this set. Both ears will have the same effects. Since you can sometimes win duplicates on Korea's scratch system, this will not be the case for this set.
High Elf & Wood Elf Ears
● +1 pixel on impact zone for winds 4~7.
● +2 pixels on impact zone for winds 8~9.
● Caddie Card Slot +1
Due to the 1+1 deal, Wood Elf ears cannot be sold to other players while the High Elf ears can. I'm in favor of this idea that works for their server. Players that wins an ear set can keep the Wood Elf and sell the High Elf ear for pangs. I checked the shop this morning and the prices are surprisingly acceptable, and it'll continue to drop even less later on. Cheers for improving the pang economy again Korea.
To me, I find the High Elf Ears can easily replace any other ear slot item that has been released so far. I like to keep my trio caddie card combo (Cadie SCR, Titanboo SCR, & Quma SR) combined with additional bonus effects that makes it a worthwhile rare to get.
Upon receiving a new scratch rare this week, Pangya KR will also be testing out a new feature for their Scratch Card system called Scratch Plus. If you don't receive a rare when you scratch up to 99 times, then you'll get a rare guaranteed on your 100th try.
The responses from Korean players are expressing mixed feelings about this new setup. One main concern is the heavy cost of 100 scratches is equivalent to spending 100,000 won (approximately $87). But, partial and full scratch cards on Korea can be obtained in many ways such as Papel lottery, treasures, SSC coins, spin cubes, etc. So it's not like the Gacha system on other servers where your options are limited where you must spend money.
Another concern is that if you do win before you reach the 100 mark, then the counter will reset back to 100 again. I honestly don't think the rates are that terrible. I could be probably win a rare within 30-50 tries. I suppose this system will benefit unlucky players.
Scratch Plus will continue to be a permanent feature from now on. Each scratch sets will reset your counter to zero, so you can't carryover your amount of tries towards their next set. This new feature has potential for improvements in the near future.
The spin cube prizes has been altered, again. So it looks like prizes will continue to change back and forth, but they will keep the common winnable prizes the same.

Lastly, they have released Christmas cut-ins that was obtained from the Tartan sets last year ago that you can purchase in the shop for 50,000 pangs each.
Other Notices
The official Christmas event for all servers are now under way. The Japanese server has started their Christmas event a week early. The red sweaters and 3 colored socks for Hana, Cecilia, Kooh, Arin, & Lucia are worth playing for since I'm going for them on the Korean server. Sadly, the socks drops randomly instead of a fixed rate but, playing a difficult course like Deep Inferno has increased rates. I do know the socks are sellable on Korean server to make it a bit easier on me. For stockings, you have to wait until the server's next day to claim your gift. In case you don't know what the tissue (toilet paper) does, it's the same effect as Silent Wind.
This leaves me to question why Nell is left out of a Christmas outfit in the shop. Ntreev had a full year since Nell was released worldwide and they had enough time to create a seasonal outfit. I suppose they don't want money from us and we may have to wait until next year if most of us will still be playing by then.
Korea received this feature for awhile now, but I keep forgetting to mention it. You can cancel the hitting bar line without having to wait for it to return. For keyboard users it's the "DEL" key, and for mouse users it's the "right-click" button. All servers should receive this update this week.
Blue Lagoon and Ice Spa will be adding more Pang Coins servers that has this feature. Spin Cubes has not been changed.

Announcement
I've skipped last week's Weekly Pangya Updates because it didn't feature much contents to make it the grand finale on Peperoholic's acclaimed weekly updates. This will be the last Weekly Pangya Update that I'll be making. I do plan to keep in touch with other Pangya servers and write articles on here if I deem them important. It's quite a feat that I kept up with every server updates up to 50 times for this single year. I do hope this announcement will not discourage you to visit back here from now on, but this is the decision that I want to go for rather than dropping the whole thing. So Peperoholic's main attraction of your local English Pangya Information will still continue onwards.

I was thinking the new Ears had the same effects as Elf Ears but with an added Card Slot! (lol), thanks for the pics and info for the Ears. The new Scratchy Plus system is nice to have; although if this would to go to Global, there would be no more x2 rates.

Ok. one more edit I have to make here again since I have the high elf ears myself.
One of the effects mentioned, "Increased pixels will still be in effect during powershot stance". Ok... it's always been like that from the regular elf ears.
I think they got confused with Japan's ears effect because their server's elf ears loses the effect during powershot stance, but high elf does not. So Japan had a good reason to state that effect to let players know.
So the power gauge bonus increase I had stated was incorrect and I have removed that part to avoid confusion when it releases to your Global server. Sorry for the confusion.
I do follow hyperudon's blog for other server updates so I guess it's not that big of a deal x3 You should blog on what you enjoy about, thanks for the update!
My new idea is to update important information like a new Gacha from Japan/Korea, a new system implemented, etc.
Compared to weekly updates with my walls of text that not many people reads word for word and only skims to the best part while all of my efforts are wasted. So this new change will help improve my time management and to make it easier for readers to find exactly what they are looking for rather than scanning through my weekly updates to find it.
Some things to point out:
- You got the regular Elfen Ears wrong. It's 4~7m and 8~9m winds.
- Pangya Global now has the feature to "cancel hit bar" with the [Delete] key.
As for the High/Wood Elfen Ears, they looks ugly imo. I prefer the regular Elfen Ears than those. But I have mixed feelings about the effects.
Since they compensated the effects with each other of the ears, I do question about where the ears are going to Scratchy or Gacha when it comes to Pangya Global server. The Caddie Card slot effect is Papel rare effect, after all...
The Christmas grinding event on Pangya Global server is more reasonable and easier to do than previous events, which I like. =P
I should let you proofread everything I do from now on then. Funny that I copied the effects straight from the KR Guide that had that typo for all these years and nobody has mentioned of this.
