BlazBlue CS2 PSP Impression

Blazblue Continuum Shift 2 has been released for both the PSP and 3DS this week in Japan. This is a great opportunity to prepare early before it arrives on home consoles for those who doesn't have arcade machines around your area (like me). I finally had a chance to experiment the new rebalanced version of CS2 that gave me mixed impressions. I'm using the PSP version and it's definitely giving me some troubles to get used to that stiff d-pad. Now I like to play Blazblue competitively, but don't expect any deep analysis from me talking about recovery time or frame startups because I'm not into all of that. I play by feel rather than depending on numbers.

Pangya Japan SSC Teaser

The teaser page shown on Pangya Japan is definitely Special Shuffle Course. It says "Next Update Pangya" on 2011/04/07. It should mean exactly as it says and nothing more. If they wanted to, they could implement other features along with this update like caddy upgrades and/or card pack volume 2. If that's the case, then it's nothing new compared to what Korea has already gotten two years ago. This update is scheduled to be released next week on Pangya Japan.

Ar Tonelico Qoga Review

It may not look like it, but Ar Tonelico Qoga for the Playstation 3 is a deep game than it appears to be. It was released in North America on March 15, 2011 and I just finished the main story. Qoga has those old RPG elements that I can give one example of. There are times when the game doesn't provide much hint on how to progress in the story where you have to roam around. That kind of experience was very nostalgic since present RPGs are pretty straightforward.

Weekly Pangya Update #12

At long last, players may get a chance to win Kaz's Papel Shop hairwig. The reason Lucia and Nell doesn't have it is because it was never made at the time. These wigs were orginally released in Season 3 from the Black Papel lottery. Albatross18 released these wig back in Season 2, but this was before Kaz was released. Expect to see Kaz's wig to be the rarest of them all.

Compared to the other servers, Global really makes use of their banner updates don't they? Seven banners!

Pangya KR Guide Opening

I've been working on it slowly, but I feel that it's time to release my Pangya KR Guide again. I've been making adjustments and adding new information so it'll be up-to-date. Right now the guide is about 80% done, but it's no main concern since I can edit it in the near future. So I think the guide is good enough to show it to the public.

Just remember guys that this is called "Pangya KR" guide for a reason. Anything you may see may not appear in other servers, but some of the contents may give you some ideas on what you can expect though.

Pokemon Black White OST

Pokemon always had a certain charm in their music that starts to grow on you. We hear the same song playing over and over when we play the game, but it never gets old to listen to. I was thinking how difficult it might be to compose new songs for each Pokemon generation, but they did a remarkable job for Black/White series. This is the super music collection that has most of the songs from the game. There are other rips out there that contains all of the songs, but I'm going to go over the official version. There are a total of 173 tracks that's 434 MBs long. The game rip has 203 tracks so it's not that much difference.

Prepare for Ar Tonelico Qoga

Ar Tonelico Qoga: Knell of Ar Ciel (or Ar Tonelico 3) has released this week. I can say this is a mix of JRPG + Music + Dating Sim. I've been pretty busy in the past few weeks, and even this week too. Now that it's Friday, I can settle down this weekend to start on this game.

Aoto is the main character you start out with, but the main role lies on the Reyvateil. Reyvateil are an special female race that can summon power with the sound of their voice. They are very fragile, so they need to be protected during combat. To my surprise, there's a deeper explanation about Reyvateil that involves their origins, blood types, type of Hymns, and more.

Weekly Pangya Update #11

Pangya server update from 3-13-11 to 3-17-11. This week hasn't introduced anything new. Only Thailand server receives a minor update to deliver some bonus events, items, and discount sales for their players. We'll look forward to next week to see if Pangya will do anything related to aid Japan’s quake incident that happened on March 11th. Video game businesses are contribiting to this cause, so Ntreev would definitely do the same along with our help. Gamepot Japan has already started their donation page, and even players from Pangya Japan can pitch in as well.

Pokemon Progress Report #2

I've finally conquered the main story of the game, and the ending presentation turned out superb. It took me by surprise how much this game evolved to deliver a decent story that's more than to be a Pokemon master. I ended the game right at 37:28 and my Pokedex has registered 135 Pokemons.

I got very lucky to find and capturing my first shiny Minccino and decided to keep it in my party until I finish the main story.

Even though the story is finished, there's still more to go. Seeing how Ar Tonelico Qoga comes out this week, I'll be spending more time on that. But I'm sure I'll squeeze in a few hours into Pokemon. The team that I used were just for fun. I'll be going after the more effective Pokemon now to build up a strong team.

Nell's Cauldron Rare List

With the release of Nell and the unveiled mysteries behind the Fragments of Time, this may be what Ntreev needed. What makes Nell unique is that you can obtain these old rares from the expensive lottery system by collecting a few materials to make them. If you missed your chance to get the rares that you wanted, or you came out unlucky, then you may have a chance to get those rares without any involvement of gambling.

I constructed a list of what rares has been released so far on all 4 available Pangya servers. Let's see how they are doing so far. I will not be editing this post when new rares are coming out in the near future after this post has been made. Please make note of that.

Weekly Pangya Update #10

Pangya server update from 3-6-11 to 3-12-11. Global receives a new Gacha rare along with Saint Patrick's Day event for some hats and card removers that can be obtained for playing the game. Nell isn't left out of the towel group and gets one that must be made in Cadie's cauldron. Thailand celebrates their 6th anniversary full of fun events and receives a new Papel shop update. Japan has an event to collect hearts from courses to exchange for items, and the more players work together to earn pangs will determine their pang and experience event. Korea receives a new Papel shop update, Nell's towel set, and a new shopping server to ease the crowded days.

Pokemon Progress Report #1

I'm going to be posting up my progress on Pokemon White on a random basis. So far I've collected 7 out of 8 gym badges. I've put about 35 hours into the game since I've been playing it during my spare time at work and in bed before I fall asleep. Playing this is really bringing me back memories when I was a kid. I did pick the Ms. short-shorts as my player and named her Richy. She's a lass and her nature is naughty. My Pokedex has collected up to 89 so far.

I have assembled a team of 6 Pokemon to battle by my side.

Cooking with Rich - Gimbap

Hello hungry readers and welcome to Cooking with Rich! I will be making a delicious and artistic Korean dish: Gimbap. So what is Gimbap? It's basically rice with other vegetables and meat wrapped up in seaweed. It takes a lot of time to prepare all the ingredients first and then you'll have to make it by rolling the ingredients together. I learned how to make this dish from my Mom already so I was able to use that knowledge and incorporate some of my own techniques on making this.

Weekly Pangya Update #9

Pangya server update from 2-27-11 to 3-5-11. Thailand will receive X Gloves for their promotion. The Magical stick club shows a new Pangya logo that never been seen before. Japan server updates more outfits for both Arin and Azer. Arin receives a hooker outfit and Azer gets a chef attire to help himself with fried chicken. No updates from Global and Korea server, but I want to clear the air about Korea's new password and trading system that was lacking information earlier. All of that will be revealed now.

Gotta catch 'em all again?

This brings back memories when I used to play Pokemon in elementary school. After that, I haven't touched any of the future released Pokemon versions. I was probably burnt out spending so many hours where I didn't want to see another Pokemon game again. When I look at Pokemon Black and White, I see a new renovation in the series with new visuals and more features that makes it look like a whole new Pokemon game. I feel strong about trying out this series again that will make me feel like I was a kid again. With so many new contents, I hope I'll be able to comprehend all of it at once. Remember, this is a guy who only played the first Pokemon game for the regular Game Boy, and is stepping up to play the newest version that will be coming out this Sunday in North America. The European version is already out.

Hyperdimension Neptunia OST

There are two things here, the original soundtrack and the Ryuusei no Bifrost that contains the opening and ending theme. Since North America hasn't released a soundtrack of their own, this is from the Japanese version. The songs has a certain charm in it that fits well with the game. The opening theme is something worth listening to as well. The Sega team contributed the original soundtrack and the artists that composed the opening and ending theme is done by Nao.

My Pangya Stats

After playing Pangya for over 5 years, I'm pretty content on how much I've learned and accomplished through the years. I had enough experience where I'm able to read ball slopes, wind angles, modifying elevation differences, and green slopes decently. I use a small notepad that's dedicated on taking notes for specific courses and other things too. It looks like I have everything I need to make really good scores right? Well I was until my motivation dropped to the point where I've stopped playing competitively anymore.

Mitsudomoe Zouryouchuu! 8 Final

Mitsudomoe is finally down to the last episode of Season 2. They went ahead and skipped the opening scene to add more screen time to finalize this episode. The first three segments are typical short episodes as usual while the last one showed the Marui family walking home together from the grocery store. The scene goes into a flashback where it shows Soujirou in his youth and in good shape walking down the street with his triplet little kids.
