Valkyrie Profile Arrange Album

Among many role-playing titles, Valkyrie Profile still remains as my all-time favorite. The game's background uses Norse Mythology elements with a deep and engaging fantasy story. The music captures the setting perfectly that I consider this as one of Motoi Sakuraba greatest achievements. This is the arrange version that comes from the original soundtrack that is done by the same music composer. The game was first released on the PS1 in 2000, then later enhanced to the PSP in 2006. The PS1 copy is still considered very rare and expensive till this day. Check eBay if you want to see what I mean.


At the Bottom of Hell is Distortion
This is played when you start the first dungeon of the game. It keeps a steady upbeat rhythm with a mix of techno synth that seems to be the main focus of this arrangement soundtrack.


The 'Unfinished Battle with God' Syndrome
I like how they changed the beginning of the song that sounds calm, then follow by the main track greatest parts. This is the battle theme of this game. Hearing this feels like I'm hearing "To my side, my noble Einherjar".


Epic Tale of a Holy Death
As a Valkyrie, you collect souls from departed human beings and utilize them as warriors. This is a sad song that's to be expected to hear when someone is about to die.
