Pangya TH Player Interview

Pangya used to be available on so many different countries before, but now we've come down to four remaining servers. One particular server that we don't pay attention much is Thailand server. Now that every server has become Pangya United, I figured it'll be great to get to know more about Thailand server.

Luckily, we have a guest that has played Pangya Thailand for a very long time. Read our interview below to learn more about their server.

Q. Before we get started, could you introduce yourself to us and tell us a little bit about your Pangya background?

A. Hi! My name on the ini3 webboard is STARLIGHT and I'm also known as lovelhanapy on Twitter and Facebook.

I created both of Hana's Fanclub on ini3 Webboard and Fan page on Facebook that focuses on her new dress updates, share some other people's fan art pictures, and chit chat with any Hana fans.

I’ve play Pangya TH for about six years to present (started playing since Open beta). Although, I don't play frequently and I'm not a professional player, I still love to play this game. There are some things in Pangya TH that is different from other servers. In the past I had played Japan and Korea servers, but now I forget some information about my account.

Q. How is the community like on Pangya TH? I've seen all these wonderful fanarts and many events where players get together often. It's sounding like a strong community to me so far.

A. I think Pangya Thailand is a large community and have the second highest population besides Japan. We had a discussion about which server we think has the most players. The result from the highest were Japan, Thailand, Korea and Global.

Both staffs and players are closer like friends or families. Some players can ask staff members to create their own little activity with tournament event rooms. The staffs do work hard for their players and to keep the server clean with strict rules. There can be at times where there are some conflicts between players and staffs about some event, activity rules, promotions, or others.

Also, there's someone from the fanart club that wants to say something!

Q. Could you elaborate on how Pangya TH distribute "Gacha" rares?

A. Pangya Thailand doesn't use a Gacha system like other servers do. There are refill promotion events that are updated frequently that promotes specific Gacha sets. Once you added enough cookies, you can redeem any gacha rare item of your choice.

For both Clubsets and Rings, you can try the lucky pouches that may contain them inside that you may win. The rule for this is that for every 10,000 CP you refill, you receive 1 pouch to open. The only way to get the ring is through the lucky pouches only.

EDIT: On August 25 2011, they have introduced a new way to obtain Gacha outfits now. Now it has become more like a lottery system where you receive an item called "Cabinet of Egg" for every 2,900 ($1.50 approx.) cookies spent.

I have spent around 150,000 ($34.00 approx.) cookies and I only get cookie usable items and black papel rares. I have not received a dress yet.

After this system was implemented, many players were very disappointed and heavily criticized the new changes. We do not know if they plan to continue with this system on the next update or not.

Q. So Pangya TH does not have permanent system for Card Removers just like Global servers. So how are card removers distributed then?

A. Many people feels that Card Removers on Thai server is considered a rare item. Currently, there is a Card Remover (100% success rate) available in scratch card system. I don't know about what or when the next item are coming for our scratch card rare and if card removers will be removed or permanent.

There are refill promotions like pay with mobile money, official online dealer, direct debit from bank or order through ATM to earn scratch cards.

Otherwise, in-game events like island tour, combine material items for random box or buy a random box from item shop that includes 70% and 100% Card Removers. But these events does not happen frequently.

Q. I see scratch card system on Pangya TH with 100% card removers that's been there for a long time. How do players earn scratch cards?

A. You can get scratch cards by using cookie cards to refill your cookie points. The expensive refill card will receive more bonus scratch cards after you refill cookies.

Just like other servers, you can collect partial tickets from the game and combine them on Cadie's Cauldron. x10 partial = x1 scratch card.

Q. Is having a permanent card remover feature like Japan and Korea been suggested many times on the forum, or players are fine as they are?

A. Yes. The original features like other servers are suggested many times by players. But there are no response from staff members.

Q. Which items can and cannot be sold to other players from the lounge shops?

A. Any pang items such as consumables, outfits, self-designed blank outfits with designs, Black Papel rares, cards, and card removers (10% only).

Cash items and other things like 70% card remover or higher, and Gacha items cannot be sold or trade.

Q. I've noticed the pang rental prices are extremely expensive compared to other Pangya servers. Is there a particular reason for this?

A. I think Pangya Thailand has pang inflation going on? Because it may be due to cheating programs that's been going on for awhile, and they don't want players to start selling pangs for real money.

But the main reason is that the staffs don't want players who bought those cookie outfits before feel bad about spending money on them.

Q. How do you or the community feel about other Pangya servers? Japan, Global, and Korea?

A. Other servers have great items, activities, and updates too. Thailand players discuss about these new information of new items or features that are not on Thailand and preparing early before it may get updated in our server.

Q. Out of curiosity, what does people think about Nell's gender?

A. Many people will go on about Nell saying, "He's male" or "She's female" or he/she is a futanari LOL. As for me and my friends, we say Nell is female.

Q. Can you explain about VIP membership and what benefits you gain from it?

A. VIP membership will receive special treatment on both events and promotions. VIP will also receive exclusive yam-roll trophies that normal players cannot get, depending on how much you refill that tallies up per year. In other words, it rewards that you are a high-paying customer. Other benefits includes receiving 2 coupons instead of 1 from a web mini-game events. There's a VIP forum where that receives inside look on future server updates. However, they changed to a new bbs system and the VIP forum is now gone. There may be more, but I can't remember from the top of my head right now.

You can subscribe for VIP membership by use refilling cookies. However much you spend, you will get a monthly subscription. However, if you refill the highest amount they request, you will instantly receive lifetime subscription.


Here are some examples of the benefits I know I have:
● Gender Icon shows a crown while you have VIP subscription.
● Receive VIP Titles from Yam-roll Trophies
● Receive new gifts every days in the mailbox such as Time Booster (20 pieces/day) or SSC Ticket (1 pieces/day)

Q. When Pangya TH transitioned to Pangya United, were shuffle bonus dropped to 10% instead of 20% and cannon fires not working?

A. Yes, but only shuffle pang bonus has decreased to 10%. The wind effects from warship’s cannon fire in Silvia Cannon are still working.
