Weekly Pangya Update #36

Global decides to bring Korea's three-year old dancer outfits for their 30th Gacha set. For those who spent a great deal of money from last set's swimsuits can rest easy for this month.


The outfit stats comes with Power+2/Slot+1 that may be annoying if you don't want your control setup changed. What's even more bizarre is that Lucia receives Power+3/Slot+1. This is why this set didn't do well on Korea due to the unnecessary changes like that. It should remain Power+1/Slot+2 as it is.


So Japan's Gacha bonus has surfaced again on this server, but it had to be on this particular set. Since most people would probably skip this set, the bonus offer will try to squeeze some interested players to play up to 50 coins to get exactly what they want if their luck fails. Even three card removers being offered as a bonus would probably get people play 30 coins for those alone.

I'm sure this sounds like a delighted feature that everyone has been waiting for, but I wouldn't hold your hopes up that it'll remain like this forever. Especially this bonus is held on an unpopular set like the dancer costumes to try and encourage people to go for this set. If you checked Japan's new tribal Gacha rare, they are not offering any bonuses at all and they were on a two-month bonus streak.

I'm not trying to sound discouraging, but since Global doesn't offer a permanent card removal feature, then it's hard to expect their Gacha bonus event to be permanent too. So let's just wait and see what happens in a few months ahead.

But, I can definitely see this being offered again on some more unpopular Gacha sets leftover from Korea, but if it's a powerful rare like the Platinum Gloves or another +1 wings, then I don't see it happening. Even Gacha #29 swimsuits followed Japan's bonus event that was posted late, but they left out the important 50 coins = 1 rare choice.


The Pirates of Pangya Island
This is actually a good event. It gives players an incentive to play the game and helps both the community and yourself with prizes. From those prize list, it really boils down to only a few small handful of very limited-time items that is a no-brainer to redeem.


I don't know how much these mask for for on Global, but it's practically free when people sell them on Korea. (1 pang)

Lots of information has been revised so we'll see how this event will handle. The first lineup this week was already updated before they started on their server maintenance. The outfits can only be purchased through their web shop instead of in-game. Each Thursday, they will update more new outfits for other characters on their web shop.

As you log-in each day during the event, you will receive x50 Negima comet balls delivered to your mailbox.


An interview revealed most of the Negima outfits in model form. It's quite disappointing to see that both Hana and Kooh won't receive a new hairstyle.

Other Notices

Pangya Japan will be announcing information regarding Wiz City later this month.

Thailand is also celebrating Max's birthday this week too. Nothing on both Korea and Japan yet, but there's no rush for that though.

GMs from Pangya KR will be hosting a 200 player tournament room where 1st place gets Secret Cadie card and everyone that participated will get x5 Gold Card Tickets. Log-in during this weekend will give you x50 chestnuts that gives x2 exp. Also, double pang and experience weekend for 12-hours during the day.

I have a video planned about Card Removers and this week couldn't be a perfect time to post it that relates to this week's update. I also need to patch up this interview from a player that plays on a different Pangya server.
