Onward to the second episode. Finally the triplets as well as the rest of the cast will be focused on compared to the first episode. This episode delivered exactly what I've missed about Mitsudomoe. Comedy, misunderstood moments, and a catchy new OP and ED sequence. The only people that would truly appreciate this episode if they have seen the first season. So if you haven't seen the first one, I would hold off on this season for now.
Episodes are generally split into small segments, and this time there are three.
The first part is where Hitoha looks like a ghost when her picture is taken because she gets nervous. Her treasured picture of her shaking hands with the Red Gachi Ranger is something she cherishes. I like how Hitoha's secret weapon is to squeeze and stretch Mitsuba's fat stomach. It's too bad that misfortune took that picture away from Hitoha when it was thought to be processed by the classmates. There goes a weeping Hitoha.
The second part revolves around Mitsuba's pig belly. Mitsuba hops on those rodeo machines in the mall to burn off those pounds. Of course she gets interrupted by her rival's appearance making fun of her weight and Mitsuba left the scene immediately. Determined to find a short-cut to lose weight, she decides to ride on Futaba like a horse which that didn't turn out well and left with even more embarrassment. I wonder how Futaba gets all that energy from, she even howls on top of the house on a full moon that I couldn't help but laugh at how corny that looked. Also, did anyone notice that Futaba is not wearing anything warm during winter?
The last part started in the classroom where their teacher listened in on their conversation about having a boy-girl party for Christmas Eve. The virgin teacher felt ashamed of himself that he never gotten to ask out the school's nurse so he'll have to spend another Christmas by himself again. After overhearing more of his student's conversation, he asked if he could come too, but got harshly rejected. So he ended up celebrating Christmas dinner with an upper-body female mannequin while the kids played the King game where the chosen King will order two people to do something.
Afterward, the triplets came home and received a phone call from their Dad saying he'll be coming home late. Futaba is already in bed preparing for Santa Claus, but there was nobody to play the role of Santa. So this is where their teacher comes in to fill in that spot. Fubata is a strong girl, even in her sleep. She actually gripped onto the teacher's suit so tight that he had to take everything off without waking her. So he ended up stripped down to his boxers and Santa hat that makes him look like a pedophile. Let's just say that their Dad comes home a bit early than they expected so you can imagine the mess that just happened. The part where it showed Futaba sleeping, I almost forgotten that she has an oppai pillow.
So many things happened in this episode that made me appreciate why I enjoy watching Mitsudomoe. It contains so many misunderstanding situations where you just want to know what will unfold in their situation. The second episode turned out to be entertaining to watch and I'm looking forward to the next.
Opening
The new OP turned out great as the triplets sings out in either solo or altogether that makes it very catchy. I still find the first OP music more catchy than this one, but the animation done for this is quite impressive than the first one.
Ending
The new ED impressed me. The music is upbeat and catchy, and the scenes pulled me in. I usually skip the ED sequence to get to the preview caption, but I let it play through to the end.
